Demand For Email Support To Increase After Announcement

The need for email support will be on the rise after it was announced on Wednesday, February 20, that Microsoft was going to combine Hotmail with Outlook, which was introduced last year. This will affect some 300 million users of Hotmail, who will be required to switch to Outlook by the of summer 2013.

The good news is that Hotmail customers will be able to keep their same email address. This is especially important for businesses that have been marketing with their Hotmail address. The biggest difference will be in the interface, which will look and act like Outlook.

Microsoft is hoping this will bring Outlook on the same level as Yahoo! and Google’s Gmail. The key for Microsoft will be for the transition to be as painless as possible.

Apparently, users of Hotmail will have the option of switching now or waiting to do it at a later date. They won’t be able to delay this decision more than six months, when Microsoft will be getting rid of Hotmail for good.

The hope is that this switch will be as painless as possible. But that won’t be the case for everyone with so many customers being affected. Even if only 1 percent of Hotmail users have difficulties with the switch, that still is 3 million people being affected.

Email support can help you evaluate your email service

If you use Hotmail, this may be a good time to evaluate your email service. If you are unsure of what to look for in an email service, you may want to look into contacting a trusted computer tech support company with email support services. They can help you correct any problems if you are just wanting to switch over to Outlook or even help you evaluate what you need in an email service and which one would best serve your needs.

Email has become such an important part of our daily lives. We use it to communicate with distant relatives, friends and even business associates and customers. If this form of communication were to be interrupted, it could have serious consequences. Or even worse, if you’re account was not secured, it could be compromised and a hacker could send emails to your contacts with whatever message he wanted to send. The emails could even have your signature, making it appear that malicious content was coming from a trusted contact.

Many people also use their inboxes to store valuable information that they need to access periodically. When technical problems arise with email accounts, it may not be possible to access this important information for hours or even days.

When Hotmail users switch to Outlook, many will need to ensure that they don’t lose important messages in their inboxes. A quality email support company can help you while millions are trying to plead with Microsoft for help.

It would be a good idea to make the switch sooner rather than later. So many people put things off until the last minute, which is why post offices in the United States have such long lines on April 15. Make the switch as soon as you can and you are far more likely to get the email support you’ll need.
